Designs, installs, and evaluates quality assurance process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques. Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Analyzes production and standards. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineering, and other parts of the organization on quality related issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field and 1-5 years related experience preferred. Minimum Associates Degree and 7 - 10 years related experience. ASQ certification preferred.
Good understanding of statistical methods and quality tools (e.g., SPC, CpK, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, Gage R&R, PPAP, etc.)
Ability to read drawings, schematics, etc. Understanding of GD&T drawings.
Familiarity with measurement equipment. Tooling microscope, CMM knowledge preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001:2008.
Experience in supplier quality management.
Strong analytical skills with emphasis on root cause and data analysis. Experienced in use of root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 5 Why, 8D, fishbone, etc.). Six Sigma experience preferred.
Independent judgment and decision making ability.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Highly motivated. Persistent in accomplishing tasks and driven for success.
Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills required.
MS Office proficiency required.
