SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Finding, developing and capturing new opportunities related to the Ibis Tek product lines for military use.

  • This person shall also support strategic, cross-division opportunities across multiple customer communities and shaping, analyzing, and maturing those opportunities into procurement possibilities.

  • Responsible for activities such as ground forces and tactical products for both domestic and international markets.

  • Activities would include information collection/analysis, customer contacts to understand and shape the market, and competitive information collection.

  • Serves as the customer advocate during reviews to bring the voice of the customer into planning and strategy sessions.

  • Participates in and may organize industry trade show activities. Will have input in the preparation and production of various product promotion items including brochures, video tapes, trade show exhibits, advertising, small customer giveaway pieces, etc.

  • Organizes and participates in customer relations activities, e.g. coordinating customer meetings, facility tours, product demonstrations, security and export clearance and other customer relations. Interface with customer on daily basis. Brief and interact with customers at appropriate levels to assess customer needs                                                                                                

  • Identify, qualify, create and participate in capturing new business opportunities

  • Prepare company for RFQ requirements with direct knowledge of upcoming business

  • Ability to read technical drawings and briefings

  • Document and maintain an extensive list of opportunities

  • Participate in Interest / No Interest, Bid / No-bid Decisions

  • Track and manage Business Development expense funds within budget allocations includes travel and associated expense

  • Conduct strategy meetings

  • Focus on Customer relations

  • New Product Introduction including marketing of new products to customers

  • Have the ability to forecast and capture future or follow on business

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • Prior Government Business Development experience preferred

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience working for a company in the aerospace or defense industry preferred

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, follow-up and planning skills

  • Excellent ability to identify and proactively solve problems

  • Ability to work under pressure and work overtime on short notice

  • Very proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and MS Word

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and candidates must be able to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.

  • The operator are responsible in preparing the machine for efficient operation by ensuring the use of appropriate tools and making certain that the tools used are functional.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and understand part tolerances per print specification
  • Must be able to identify material types and thicknesses as associated to Work Orders
  • Must be able to safely handle materials
  • Understand proper start-up and shut-down of machining centers.
  • Work in accordance to established safety rules and good housekeeping practices
  • Work on additional equipment or tasks outside the job description as directed by the Floor Supervisor for production needs or continuous improvement
  • Accurately record time and production numbers daily/report scrap

Requirements

  • Ability to work overtime, off shifts, and weekends as needed
  • Experience with CNC machine operation preferred but not required
  • Must be able to use overhead cranes, basic hand tools- tape measure, calipers, micrometers, grinders etc
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and understand part tolerances per print specification

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Organize and prioritize the engineering, manufacturing and production activities with input from customers and others within the organization.

Ability to manage several projects with the intention of improving Ibis Tek’s overall performance.

Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.

Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project.

Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.

Execute the project according to the project plan.

Develop forms and records to document project activities.

Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured.

Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Program management coordinates and prioritizes resources across projects, managing links between the projects and the overall costs and risks of the program.

Must be able to engage and select outside vendors as necessary and coordinate their abilities into the program deliverables.

Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.

Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • DOD Experience (preferred);

  • Electrical & Mechanical aptitude (engineering degree preferred);

  • Secret Clearance (preferred);

  • PMI and PgMP certification (preferred);

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills;

Responsibilities
• Computes costs by analyzing labor and material requirements from authorized and traceable sources
• Prepare work to be estimated by creating a detailed BOM for the project, gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
• Identify labor and material requirements by studying vendor proposals, work order standards, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Obtain and review offers and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Sets Basis of estimate criteria used for each activity (Actual cost/ estimate / quotation)
• Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Prepares Source data and rationale for the estimate
• Presents prepared estimate and obtains cost approval from the CFO or designee
• Prepares reports as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and cost make up trends.
• Contributes to Business Winning team effort by accomplishing task
• Build relationships with customer analysts and other customer representatives as needed
• Maintains relationships with Management at all levels within Ibis Tek, interfaces as needed with Purchasing, Programs, operations staff and BD / Sales Personnel to execute job responsibilities.
Required skills and education
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
o Strong analytical skill
o Excellent organizational skills
o Prior knowledge of MAS 500 preferred
o Excel experience a must
o Be familiar with financial and project management principles
o Thoroughness and reliability
o Solid experience and knowledge of Ibis Tek products, capabilities and company goals.
